DIRE
RIGHTS

We all deserve to be healed, not harmed.

A Hug

THE RIGHT TO BE PROTECTED FROM CANCER & DISEASE

Clinicians should be held accountable for every part of their patient's healthcare.

Our loved ones are at the mercy of their clinicians. Right now, most clinicians are not aware of the harms of the radiation in healthcare. Most clinicians don't realize that radiation causes cancer, heart disease and other serious illnesses. The DIRE Act is the beginning of rampant radiation reduction. The DIRE Act Is engulfed with education and awareness of the harms of radiation, combined with an awakening of healing alternatives.

PROTECT PATIENTS

THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE WHAT HAPPENS TO THEIR OWN BODIES

Healthcare standards should allow for patient's to choose safe alternatives.

Patients typically don't have the right to choose what diagnostic tests or treatments they receive. Often, they are forced to undergo CT scans, mammograms, x-rays and PET scans against their will, or without any information about the potential harms of radiation. The DIRE Act aims to provide all patients with the ability to make informed decisions over their own health.

PATIENT RIGHTS &
PRACTITIONER OBLIGATIONS

01

Patients have a right to

be informed of the risks associated with ionizing radiation exposure In their diagnostic medical tests.

04

Patients have a right to know the radiation dose they will be exposed to and the risks associated with it prior to undergoing the diagnostic test.

07

Healthcare leaders have an obligation to ensure that patients are informed of the amount or DIRE associated risks.

10

Healthcare leaders and scientists have an obligation to investigate and advance new, safe, diagnostic medical technology such as sonoluminescence – light created by harmless sound waves.

13

Medical educators have a responsibility to create algorithms directing physicians and clinicians to alternative exams to CT, PET/CT, Radiography, etc. including MRI and ultrasound. The DIRE Act will provide these algorithms.

02

Patients have a right to

be informed of safe, alternative, FDA approved, diagnostic medical tests that do not have any ionizing radiation, including MRI and Ultrasound.

05

People have a right to know the dose and amount of radiation exposure in diagnostic medical tests.

08

Healthcare leaders and scientists have an obligation to protect our environment and work to realize and reduce healthcare carbon footprint by limiting the volume of high voltage diagnostic medical tests.

11

Healthcare leaders have an obligation to investigate and advance methods of environmental and man-made radiation protection for pregnant women and children. Pregnant women and children have an increased risk of cellular damage and destruction due to amplified cellular susceptibility from growing and diving cell development.

03

Clinicians have an obligation to know the radiation dose and the risks associated with it prior to prescribing it to patients.

06

Healthcare leaders have an obligation to ensure that clinicians are aware of the amount of DIRE in each exam they are prescribing and the risks associated with each.

09

People have a right to know the risks associated with DIRE.

12

Scientists have an obligation to test lead shields in today’s medical radioactive environments and conclude to a specific degree the effectiveness of today’s lead shields. With varying radiation levels at different facilities and varying ranges of radiation exposure being dependent on the types of exams, studies and work towards improving protection from ionizing radiation should occur.

It's absurd that we don't have a right to choose what happens to our own bodies.
